Mid-Month Deals

| Coat - TJMaxx

I recently purchased three winter coats - yes, three - and two out of the three were from TJMaxx.  First, let me say, that I've only had heavy fall coats masked as winter coats and after the Snowpocolypse last winter, I am SO not making that mistake again.  I was in the market for a puff jacket that covered my bum and had a hood, and a nice winter coat (I had passed on a Michael Kors burgundy number with black leather sleeves and wanted something similar).  I found a Michael Kors navy jacket with a belt and a hood with fur lining for $120 (the North Face ones tend to be $180 more) and a Marc New York Marc Jacobs Black coat with leather around the elbows and an asymmetrical zipper.  I'm in love!  Of course, I found a camel peacoat at Old Navy and was suckered in.

But this long monologue is to point out that there are some AWESOME coats for sale at TJMaxx - high quality, very in style, and relatively inexpensive.  And what's even better?  You can now go to TJMaxx in the comfort of your own home!  Obviously, you won't be able to find those unique one-of-a-kind pieces that just happen to pop up in the shop, but they have a great selection.  Check it out :)

  1. Such a nice coat. I always hear TJMaxx from Fashion Vloggers on Youtube. Unfortunately, we don't have TJMaxx in our country. :(

  2. We have a TK Maxx in England and I'm assuming it's the same thing! :) They also have great discounts, it just takes a while to look through which I'm sometimes too impatient to do! x

    1. It is! When I studied in England, I decided to forgo bringing a winter coat in order to have more luggage room and just buy one over there. I found a yellow toggle coat at TK and LOVED the heck out of it for the rest of the year... but I may or may not have traveled with that baby so much it is now in retirement. Both stores have done me well! But I agree... sometimes I get too impatient and don't get through the whole store.

    3. Thank you so much, Jeannette! I completely agree with you about going to the right one. Sometimes I find absolutely nothing (and usually I am really depressed afterwards) and other times I have to force myself out of the store. But I love that they've started the online thing.

And YES! Thank you for asking about FB, ladies!

    1. Aw Cara, that makes me so sad! Maybe you'll find better luck on-line? I will say, my luck is on and off and I have shopped at MANY TJMaxx's, and they are not all made the same - some are wonderful and others are awful. Don't be discouraged!

  25. I recently sold my main fall jacket and gave away my nice peacoat so I desperately need a cute coat beyond my puffy parka! I am always scouring TJ Maxx, so I'm hoping my local store has gotten in some cute coats too!

  26. I was so confused until I searched online for TJMaxx and realised it's the American equivalent of TKMaxx - so of course, needless to say that I'm also a huge fan of the store! Well done on finding three new winter coats.. and there I was feeling bad for having invested in TWO new coats for the season! I didn't get any of them from TKMaxx, although that's not to say that I haven't in the past! :)

  31. TJ Maxx is the best! If only I had one here in Vancouver, we have to head down the States to get to one (or a Ross or Nordstrom Rack)! Luckily, I'll be heading for a quick day trip sometime next month :) This coat is gorgeous, I can't wait to buy a new winter coat for myself very soon-- might be hitting a store very much like this for it!
