I broke down and bought a maxi dress. I've had many fears about them - they'd make me look short, or wide, they'd be annoying to wear, they'd make me look pregnant. Well this lovely number does none of the above. Empire waists flatter me, black is always flatters, and it is SO comfortable. I wore it while walking around NYC for a whole day back on a chaperone trip and I felt awesome. I've been converted. Find a maxi dress that cuts you well and in a color you feel comfortable wearing and buy it before they go away for the fall!
