[Maxi Dress & Wedges - TJMaxx; Jacket - Target; Scarf - Nine West]

I loveeee this Maxi Dress.  It's strapless and tasteful and makes me feel like a Greek Goddess.  I'm definitely picking up on this fashion craze.  It's just so comfortable!  Also some wonderful things about this outfit - the jean jacket is from the girl's section in Target.  I love it!  It fits so much better than the woman's jacket, so why not?  And this scarf was a birthday gift from my boss - she has excellent taste!

On a sad note, my legs are so white, it looks like I'm wearing white tights.  Oh dear.  Self-tanner, we have some serious work to do.

I'm so ready for some Spring shopping!  I already started with picking up the jean jacket at Target (I'm a bigger fan of the kid's one than the woman's... is that bad?) and I think the next item on my list is that black bikini from Anthro.  I don't love myself in a bathing suit (ok, who does?) so I like finding flirty and girly pieces that don't look like you'd find them at a bodybuilding contest.  I've had my eye on a top exactly like this, thank you Miranda Kerr picture on Pinterest, and think it's time to pounce.  Plus, I can always save money and buy black bottoms at Old Navy or Target.

Maxi-mum Capacity

I broke down and bought a maxi dress.  I've had many fears about them - they'd make me look short, or wide, they'd be annoying to wear, they'd make me look pregnant.  Well this lovely number does none of the above.  Empire waists flatter me, black is always flatters, and it is SO comfortable.  I wore it while walking around NYC for a whole day back on a chaperone trip and I felt awesome.  I've been converted.  Find a maxi dress that cuts you well and in a color you feel comfortable wearing and buy it before they go away for the fall!
