Goodbye Pastels

I've hit it.  I've finally reached acceptance with the impending fall season.  But with this acceptance, I had to wear my favorite summer work outfit one last time.  This navy dress is a glove.  The pastel green blazer is so fun, and I love wearing this pink necklace always (boyfriend choice again).

While I'm excited for fall boots, big sweaters, hot chais, and football, I'm sad that this blazer will go back into my closet until I'm 26.  UGH.  Now I'm depressed.

For the Love of Kate (Spade)

Boyfriend & I attended the most gorgeous wedding with this view.  It was beautiful.  The night was about 60 degrees, too, so everyone was cool, comfortable, and just enjoying a wonderful night in the city.  Seriously amazing.

The dress itself was kind of a fairytale.  While enjoying our new town, Boyfriend & I stopped into a nice upscale boutique - TMB.  They were happening to have a 70% off sale (as luck would have it) and I was drawn to this dress and the jewels on it.  I made a crazy decision to try it on - it was the only one left and it looked to be around my size.  It fit like a glove.  It was meant to be!  The LAST ONE on a 70% off sale in MY size?  WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?

This dress is staying with me forever.  I love it too much.  So naturally it had to accompany me to a wedding in Midtown Manhattan.  And that's what I call a tale of two love stories.

Easter Best

[Top Row - 1, 2, 3, 4; Bottom Row - 1, 2, 3, 4]

Remember getting dressed up in frilly lace and pastels with gloves and white Mary Janes and hideous straw hats?  I remember a specific white dress with a pale pink satin ribbon.  The sleeves were so puffy I probably could have hid a tamagatchi up there.  I thought I looked fabulous with my nice shoes and white matching hat.  When I got older, my family stopped going to the service where everyone got dressed up and opted for the sunrise service on the top of the mountain.  While those services are awesome because they are so beautiful and you can roll out of bed, it is nice to get really dolled up once in a while.

Do you wear a special Easter dress?  Which one would be your favorite?

Leather Jacket Bliss

[Jacket - The Limited; Dress - Ross; Tights & Boots - Target; Earrings - Kate Spade; Headband - Old]

Remember way back when I found this leather jacket?  Well, I bought it and I love it.  I think I look super badass in it.  Ok, not true, I look like a silly girl trying to play James Dean.  But I love it.  Note that you will never, ever see me on a motorcycle wearing it because I refuse riding them, but that's neither here nor there.
