So I'm obsessed with the Portofino Blouses from Express. They are super comfortable, don't wrinkle easily, and come in tons of patterns and colors. Naturally, they have sold out of the polka dot one shown here, but they have many other patterns to choose from like cheetah print.
I recently purchased two more and am planning on showing you outfits I threw together using this go-to shirt. I love items that are easy to style and can make an outfit in a pinch.
Do you have items like this in your wardrobe?
Too adorable! Love that top (: Fits you perfectly!

You are SUCH a cutie. I love dots. And I'm totally looking into these blouses because I need them for work :) Hope you're having a great weekend, friend!
ReplyDeleteThey're buy one, get one 50% off right now and are super professional. I hope you find something that works. I always dreamed of dressing professional as a little girl and now that I have to do it, it can be EXTREMELY tiresome, so I don't envy you!
DeleteHi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI love this entire look! The cuffed jeans with ankle boots looks great! To answer the question you posed: Two items that come to mind as my "go-to" items are infinity scarves (somehow a scarf magically makes an outfit look more put-together) and a tailored black blazer. It seems like I can throw that black blazer over top of nearly any outfit and look more polished with very little effort. Gotta love that! Hope you've had a great weekend :) And thanks for the thoughtful comments you left on my blog.
Warmest Regards,
Cynthia at http://styleneverstops.com
I so agree with you - infinity scarves & blazers are WONDERFUL for dressing an outfit up. Maybe the next one of my go-to shirt posts I'll do with both of those items - super chic!
DeleteCute shirt! I can see why it's your go to!

I have a silver cheetah 3/4 sleeved tee from H&M that I've worn countless times, alone or under cropped sweaters. I love your blouse Miss, so chic and versatile!

Looks like a perfectly easy shirt to throw on and look totally chic. My wardrobe could use a staple like this!

They're so much easier to wear than your typical Oxford shirt but the blouse & collar look make it seem fancier. Definitely easy to wear when chasing around four little ones ;).
DeleteI'm going to have to stop into Express and check out these blouses- always looking for great button downs and work attire! You look fabulous, Sarah!

Thank you, Elmira! I get it highlighted throughout the year, but I'm super nervous because my hairdresser (who I've had my WHOLE life by the way) retired so next one is a new person. Here's to hoping it stays this way :)
Deletelove this polka dot shirt ... very cool outfit

That is such a cute polka dot shirt! It's really nice worn with your denim too :)
ReplyDeleteI've always had a slight dislike of shirts after having to wear (and iron!) them for work, but I've lately been adding them to my wardrobe again. They are great for life with baby, and they make simple outfits look a little more polished. I'm still not the happiest with the additional ironing they create though, haha!
